Congratulations to the 2016/17 cohort of students who graduated last week with a Masters in International Public Health (Sexual and Reproductive Health). The CMNH teaching team were delighted to work with all those who successfully completed this course.
Abigail Brown was one of the graduating class who collected their degrees at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall on Wednesday 6th December:
"This project has truly opened my eyes to the importance of maternal mental health. I feel so lucky to have been able to have conducted a project within this area, especially with CMNH at LSTM. It has been great to discuss this research at conferences and meetings following my project and I hope to advocate on this further in the future!"
The International Public Health Masters equips graduates to provide leadership and technical support in public health in middle and low income countries. The specialist Sexual and Reproductive Health stream within the course is aimed at students who wish to understand international aspects of sexual and reproductive health (SRH). It provides students with knowledge, skills and understanding that will enable them to contribute to the strengthening of health systems in support of SRH; facilitate the implementation and scale-up of good practice; and raise awareness amongst politicians, professionals and the public of the need for more effective use of knowledge and tools to impact on SRH indicators.
Applications for the 2018/2019 course are now open, find out more on the LSTM course webpage.
