Improving the health of pregnant women and children in Malawi

Malawi Eval

The aim of the evaluation is to provide an assessment of the differences made by the project on the lives of mothers and children in the Ntcheu District and to explain how the project has made these differences on mother and child health, care and care-seeking behaviour as well as on service quality and accessibility.

This mixed-methods evaluation aims to provide an in-depth understanding into the differences the four year ‘Improving the health of pregnant women and children in Malawi’ in Ntcheu District in Malawi has made on mother and child health, care and care-seeking behaviour and service quality and accessibility, and to explain how these differences were brought about. Process evaluation will be used to describe the activities implemented by the project and the key measurable outputs of the activities. Impact evaluation will assess the impact of the project activities on key maternal and newborn outcomes.
