On 27 April, CMNH held its annual External Advisory Group (EAG) meeting.

It was attended by a range of stakeholders from the field of maternal and newborn health, including Frances Day Stirk, President of the International Confederation of Midwives, Arul Sabaratnam, Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St George’s University of London, and chaired by Helene Hayman former speaker in the House of Lords.

The EAG group reviewed CMNH’s draft strategy which covers 2017–2023, and which will be published in July. It also celebrated the role of Baroness Hayman, as she retired from the chair of the EAG.
